Sueyoung was born in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and grew up just outside of New York City in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Food has always been a large part of her life and knew at a very young age that she would eventually end up in restaurants. Sueyoung attended The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park and upon graduation joined the dining room team at Aureole. Two years later, she started working at Eleven Madison Park in 2012 as a Kitchen Server and worked her way up the ranks of Captain. After several years Sueyoung moved on to be the Assistant General Manager at Cafe Boulud and began her management career. She returned to Eleven Madison Park in Spring of 2017. During her tenure, she has played an integral role in leading the team to be named the #1 restaurant in the world by World's 50 Best in 2017 and became the General Manager in fall of 2018.
